Using 1000 Cuts as a reference we will create a grounded and authentic experience that will clarify that understanding racism is an essential step in promoting effective, collective social action toward achieving racial justice.
In collaboration with iNK Stories, the evolution of 1000 Cuts, affectionally (and temporarily?) referred to as "1001 Cuts", aims to engage participants more profoundly by leaning into identity psychology. By adding to the existing “Body Transference” of seeing yourself––1001 Cuts will compound participants’ identity embodiments and engagement with: voice-driven participation, physical interaction, and seamless choice integration.
Data Visualization: In addition, we are in early phase ideation of a new data visualization experience that aims to visualize structural racism -- allowing the user to engage patterns of racialized policies and other forms of structural racism over periods of time.
